What if we stop obsessing about when machines will be more intelligent than humans and instead think about how human intelligence can better collaborate with machine intelligence in the same way we seek to collaborate with other ecosystems’ intelligence?

Who is this for?

Creative and critical thinkers from all backgrounds - whether you’re an AI enthusiast, a skeptic, or someone who has no idea what AI even stands for. All you need to bring is curiosity, openness to question, imagination and new perspectives on how multiple kinds of intelligence shape the world around us.

Event details

→ How do we define intelligence?

→ Is it the thing that most relates to the way humans think?

→ And, if so, does a tree need to think like a human to have intelligence? What about a computer?

→ What if we stop obsessing about when machines will be more intelligent than humans and instead think about how human intelligence can better collaborate with machine intelligence in the same way we seek to collaborate with other ecosystems’ intelligence?

This will be a moment to critically think about our need to always be comparing nature and machines' way of thinking to ours and try to understand machine intelligence as its own thing, with its own rules, purpose and ways of being.

Join João Delgado, creative technologist @ With Company, in a talk about how machines think and the way we interact with other types of intelligence, followed by an open discussion and an explorative workshop to rethink the ways we, as humans, interact with machines, and how we can find better ways to collaborate with them.
