Event details
CryptoFriday is The Block Lisboa's flagship weekly event, running every Friday since 2017, with a community of 6,500+ members. For Lisbon AI Week, we're theming it around one of the most pressing questions in tech right now: how far can we trust autonomous AI agents?
AI agents are multiplying fast and starting to execute real-world actions — trading, payments, financial and security decisions. But they remain hard to audit and predict. AI is scaling faster than the trust we can reasonably place in it, and that gap is the conversation.
The evening opens with a short, informal talk led by Tyler M (EZ Labs / VeriMesh). It includes a live demo of a trading agent's logic under deterministic guardrails, and an audience challenge: participants propose an agent action and see how the system would verify or reject it in real time. From there we open the floor with questions designed to get everyone talking — would you trust an AI agent to trade your money? If you ran a fund, what would you require an agent to prove before it moved a million?
The talk is followed by open networking. CryptoFriday's role during AI Week is to be the social anchor of the week — the place where people who spent their days in workshops, hackathons, and talks finally meet one another and turn ideas into collaborations.
Free and open to everyone. Held in English, given the international profile of our community.
