Who is this for?
Founders, engineers, researchers and operators building AI products and companies, plus investors and ecosystem people attending AI Week. No meditation experience assumed.
Event details
AI is opening more opportunity, faster, than most of us know what to do with. It also means more hours on screens, more mental load, and more weeks run at full capacity. The people building this technology are often the first to feel the cost of that and the last to stop and do something about it.
This session is a simple counterweight. It is a 30-minute guided meditation that resets the nervous system: slow breathing to engage the vagus nerve, guided physical relaxation, and a short visualization. No cushions, no chanting, no prior experience. People stay in their seats. In half an hour the room moves from wired to clear.
The point is not only to feel good for 30 minutes. It is to give people at AI Week a proper break in the middle of an intense week, and to hand them a tool they can use again on any normal Tuesday. Effective whether used for 5 minutes or 20. If AI is going to help us build the lives we actually want, the people building it need to stay well enough to steer it, rather than get pulled under by the pace.
Objectives:
- Give attendees a pause partway through the week, so they leave AI Week clearer rather than more depleted.
- Show a room of technical and business people, many of them sceptical about meditation, that a short practice can change how they feel and think.
- Leave people with one concrete, repeatable way to protect their focus and health while working at this speed.
Expected impact: attendees report feeling calmer, more focused and more present straight afterward, which in practice means better conversations and better retention across the rest of the programme. The format is low-cost and low-logistics: one facilitator, one quiet room, 30 minutes, and it scales from 20 people to a few hundred.
